Who We Are

Founders

Dr. William Scott and Dr. Mrs. Joyce Scott came to India as missionaries. They both had a mutual burden for rural India. After getting a clear vision from God to get the Scriptures and Christian books to the rural people, they started India Bible Literature in the year 1975. Their heart and desire was to get the Word of God to the nation of India in their own languages as the Bible and other Christian books had played a vital role in their life. The lives of Drs. William and Joyce Scott were rooted on the verses, “Is anything too hard for the Lord?” and, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Genesis 18:14; Romans 8:31). As a result they have brought radical changes in the lives of millions of people.
Management Committee​

India Bible Literature is now entirely indigenous and is controlled and administrated by seven Indian leaders residing in India. The Executive Director is assisted by a Management Committee, whose members were with India Bible Literature for 15-40 years. The headquarters of IBL is situated in Chennai. Along with three other regional offices in Faridabad, Kolkata and Mumbai, we are able to bless the nation of India through the scriptures.
Dr. E. Velayutham

Executive Director

Dr. E. Velayutham, Executive Director of India Bible Literature has been working with I.B.L. for more than 40 years. His humble beginnings with I.B.L. was raised step by step as the Administrative Officer and then as the Marketing Director. God has lifted him to be the Executive Director in 2005 and is using him for His glory.
Rev. M.P. Prasanna Kumar

Finance Director

Rev. M.P. Prasanna Kumar is the Finance Director for India Bible Literature since 2000. He has been serving the Lord through India Bible Literature from 1976. His commitment towards God and the ministry has raised him from Promotional Officer to the Finance Director.

Rev. John Samuel Swain

North India Bible Literature

Rev. John Samuel Swain is the Regional Director for North and he is responsible for the ministries in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. He is associated with I.B.L. for the past 40 years.

Dr. M. Anthony

Central India Bible Literature

Dr. M. Anthony is the Regional Director for Central India Bible Literature monitoring the diverse ministries held in the states of Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka for the past 15 years.
